Arial photo of The Farmhouse B&B

The Farmhouse B&B was established in July 2019 by Theresa Moir.  It is a beautiful Georgian building, over 350 years old, set amongst the stunning hills of Perthshire, far away from the hustle and bustle.  I like to say “we are in the middle of nowhere, but central to everywhere”.  It is only a short drive from Glasgow (1 hour 15 mins approx) and from Edinburgh (1 hour 30 mins). It's a 20 minute drive to the old market town of Crieff, the cathedral town of Dunkeld and also Aberfeldy where you will find numerous wonderful places to eat & drink. The area offers a plentitude of outdoor activities and beautiful places to visit. Not only can you visit whiskey distilleries, Glenturret, Aberfeldy, Blair Atholl, Dalwhinnie to name a few.  It is ideal for walks, watersports, bird & wildlife watching, you will experience an abundance of nature, space and landscapes. Perthshire is great for hill walking, it is home to 28 of the 282 Munros across Scotland, as well as The Rob Roy Way.  The roads are also a magnet for motorbikes, cyclists and cars enthusiasts. During your stay at the Farmhouse B&B, you will get a warm welcome and wonderful hospitality from me. I have 3 en-suite bedrooms.  All bedrooms are located on the first floor and are reached via the main staircase.  There is a comfortable library, where you can read undisturbed or play board games in front of the log burner, alternatively, you can relax in the lounge, in front of our other log burner and watch TV. The beautiful dining room is the perfect setting for breakfast (which is included in the price) and also for our Taster Weekends.  All reception rooms are located on the ground floor.  Free Wi-Fi is available at The Farmhouse B&B via our satellite broadband.  4G in the area is excellent.

Guest review from Austria

Teresa is a very welcoming hostess who spoiled us with a great breakfast and whiskey in a romantic extra room. The old house is lovingly furnished and very comfortable, our room was very large. The area is beautiful and lonely.   Everything was great!

The Crown

I had the privilege of having "The Crown" which featured on Netflix , filming here in March 2023 for Series 6, what a wonderful experience.  The Farmhouse B&B was turned into "Balmoral Cottage" for the week, Room 1 was "Prince Williams'" bedroom and the dining room was the lounge/party room.  The shooting scene was filmed near the shepherds huts and woods, with stunning views of the hills.
